The Day My Sister Kissed Dolly Llama

**DOLLY Llama**   When I created my blog, My Inner Chick, I wanted something significant on my site that reminded me of my sister, Kay. Something that made me laugh and cry at the same time. Something meaningful. Something that was truly “HER.” “I chose big pink lips.” The people who know Kay remember her lips because she made them remember. (perhaps you have a story about her lips) For example, she’d kiss everybody she met and left smeared crimson and cherry all over their faces. Sometimes sparkles. She’d kiss the glass windows of cars if she recognized somebody’s car in a church parking lot or outside a grocery store ( just to say hello. Just to say “I was here!”) But my favorite lip story has to do with a field trip, which I asked her to chaperone with our elementary kids from Laura MacArthur School. Of course, since she adores all animals, she immediately said “YES!” So, on a beautiful spring day, several teachers, paraprofessionals, and other chaperones arrived at the Duluth Zoo.
